' We, Russian doctors, nurses, and paramedics, strongly oppose the military actions carried out by Russian armed forces on the territory of Ukraine. We are not looking for the guilty and we do not judge anyone. Our mission is to save human lives. It is difficult to imagine a profession more humane than a doctor. And now, at this difficult time for both countries, we call for an immediate cessation of hostilities and for the resolution of all political issues exclusively by peaceful means.

Russia has now switched tactics to a “war of total annihilation.” At the moment, the Kremlin’s objective is not only at war with Ukraine, but also intent on destroying it. The main targets are civilian infrastructure, residential buildings. Russia is massacring peaceful Ukrainians.

The United Nations General Assembly on 2 March approved a nonbinding resolution condemning Russia for invading Ukraine and demanding that it withdraw its military forces.The resolution passed overwhelmingly by a vote of 141.

Abstentions

The daily life of ordinary Russians not just the country’s political elite or super rich oligarchs will be affected. All in all, this amounts to a grim scenario for Russian consumers and businesses. The economy is likely to plunge into recession. The new sanctions will severely impact the living standard of ordinary Russians. No matter how much money Russians have, they cannot transfer it abroad, they cannot get it out of their bank, and there’s nowhere to invest. The longer it goes, the more difficult it will become.
